Swimmers ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email hello@swimmers.app.
What we collect
- Health data (on your device): With your permission, the Swimmers iOS app reads Apple Health metrics — sleep, heart rate variability, resting and active heart rate, and steps — to calculate your score. This data is processed on your device and is not uploaded to our servers, sold, or used for advertising.
- Your score: If you choose to join a league, the single numeric score computed on your device is sent to our backend along with the name and email you enter, so it can appear on that league's board.
- Email & name: Collected when you join the waitlist or a league, to save your spot, identify you on a board, and contact you about the service.
- Optional profile photo: If you upload one, it is stored to display on leaderboards.
How we use it
- To calculate and show your score and league standings.
- To operate the waitlist and notify you about early access.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use Apple Health data for advertising or share it with third parties.
Where it's stored
Email, name, league results, and uploaded photos are stored with our database provider, Supabase, under access rules that prevent the public from reading anyone's email. Apple Health readings stay on your device.
Deleting your data
You can delete your data at any time:
- In the app: open Swimmers and tap "Delete my data," enter your email, and confirm.
- On the web: visit swimmers.app/delete.html.
- By email: write to hello@swimmers.app and we'll remove your data.
This permanently removes your waitlist entry, any league entries, your scores, and any uploaded photo.
Children
Swimmers is not directed to children under 17 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
